Take Notice But Don't
“Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes in the morning. You have turned for me my mourning tinto dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, i will give thanks to you forever!”
Psalm 30:5, 11-12
“Beauty for ashes
Garment of praise for my heaviness
Beauty for ashes
Take this heart of stone and make it yours
I delight myself in the richest of fare
Trading all that I have for all that is better
A garment of praise for my heaviness
You are the greatest taste
You’re the richest of fare”
Beauty for Ashes - Shane & Shane
“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Fr as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.”
Isaiah 61:10-11
Praying for healing all around
I’ve learned that it’s good to reward yourself throughout the day, when you’re busy looking at the screen and typing away. Think about Mario Kart. They give you an item after each lap to keep you going!

This is actually starting to resemble a hobbit’s life. Hopefully I don’t end up looking like one!
“Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour?’ But for this purpose I have come to this hour. Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came from heaven: ‘I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.’ John 12:27-28
“I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. all mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.” John 17:6-10
“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
“I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.” John 10:14-16

“One writes music because winter is eternal and because, if one didn’t, the wolves and blizzards would be at one’s throat all the sooner.” Cloud Atlas, David Mitchell
It’s been a while, but Breakthru is performing again this Sunday, March 10th! Though we haven’t been onstage this year, we’ve been meeting every Monday night since the fall and for the past month, Saturday afternoons as well.
What’s great about this ministry is that even though its familiar, something always changes. New members bring in different vibes and their tastes and skills affect our skits and dances.
This week, we’ll be presenting the life of Simon Peter (exclusive!). Along with our Bible studies on 1 Peter in small group, his story is so relevant these days. Of course we’ve taken artistic liberties with the presentation, but our hope is that his life-changing journey with Jesus will be relatable and encouraging to the audience.
Please pray…
that rather than striving for perfection, we’ll desire for God to use this piece to speak to the church.
for continual unity amongst the members and that God will fill us with His love and joy to spread to the people and that His peace will help us overcome nerves.
for protection. One our members has lost a close family member, and another was hurt in an accident. “When it rains, it pours” but our God is greater.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.”
1 Peter 1:3-4
